Im a DJ and im trying to find the best way to record my mixes. Any suggestions?
I’ve used Cool Edit pro with a mic cable connected from my mixer to the microphone input on my laptop but I now want something a bit more professional as I’ve become interested in putting together a home studio. I was wondering if one would be able to record through USB? Does anyone know what I should do?
You can record through USB or Firewire. Take a look at the M-Audio products. You can plug in rca cables to the M Audio box and then the USB/firewire cable goes from the box to your computer.
I use Peak LE to record into my computer, although I probably could use Garage Band, it’s just that I’ve always used a program like Peak and haven’t gotten around to learning GB.
